oh me oh my

Its been one hellish long week of mindbending rants that ive had to bite my tongue as not to unleash them not through fear of offending more cannot cope with the hassle it'll cause explaining why i feel the way i feel.
I think i reached boiling point today and yet again my poor kids took the brunt of it as they were baking my head on and on all day so que mum shouting loudly. Did take them for a run in the park and to Grandmas to make up for it. Make chocolate apples with them yey! E numbers more reason for them to bounce off the walls. They got dvds at bedtime rare occurance even though there are tv's in their rooms. Ive come to the conclusion this week that parents are not only content leaving the tv to babysit during the day in lots of cases it does it through out the night too. And then they wonder why children are tired or know too much about stuff they shouldnt. These children are being stimulated in the wrong way 24 hours a day the quaility of sleep they are having whilst the tv is making noises at them cannot be good for their health. I am the parent that gets funny looks because my children go to bed at set times to sleep on school nights and call childline my 7 year old son doesnt have an xbox 360 or PS3 with internet access to play against teenage boys and middle aged men who use appauling language whilst playing these games. Mind my 12 year old does however its set up in the dining room where it can be supervised. Maybe im just a really rubbish parent. Ive just given in and got my 12 year old a mobile phone i didnt have one until i was 16 when pay as you go became popular and the motorola brick was popular i had a blue one. I cant see why my 12 year old needs one other than to get mugged or to contact me as my friends tell me about little jonny whos 5 and has an Iphone. How did i manage to contact my mum when i was 12? Oh yeah thats right i trotted off home to her and told her what i was up to. Man we are become a pappy society one where 1st time parents of newborns know it all but its ok the tv will bring the child up and if it needs its parents it can always text them on its iphone.
